Since our eco-friendly clothing line hit the store this week, we felt inspired to involve you in our contributions to the environment and our community. Now, we will plant a tree for every purchase at ShoptheKei! Think of this as your contribution towards a cleaner, more beautiful future.
Why plant a tree?
Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. Ever taken an Aspirin? It comes from the bark of a tree!
We work with amazing reforestation partners around the world that need your support to help get trees in the ground. The fashion you wear from ShoptheKei helps plant a tree for every purchase and provides relief from global deforestation.
When will your trees be planted?
The time between your donation and the actual tree planting will vary depending on the region and the time of year. Planting usually happens during the rainy season, when the soil provides optimum conditions for tree survival.
When your planting session takes place, we will send you an update with photos and information provided by our reforestation partners. This will include details such as the tree species planted, expected survival rates, community engagement, and ecological benefits.
What do you get with your contribution?
- You will receive an email from One Tree Planted including a link to open your gift card and confirm ShoptheKei plant a tree in your honor!
- Your email will also include a personalized tree certificate to say thanks for your contribution. We’ll also send you updates on the tree project, so you can track the impact your trees are having on the community and environment.
How does it work?
When you reach checkout, chose a continent where you want your tree planted, and include it in the notes section. North America, Latin America, Asia, or Africa. If this is left blank, we will decide. As usual, ShoptheKei will send an email confirming your purchase. Be on the look out for a separate email which includes information about the location where we will plant your tree and the positive impact your tree could have on the area.
One Tree Planted provides ShoptheKei with current insight on the communities most effected by tree loss. This allows us to decide where in the continent of your choosing we should plant a tree.
