My Top 8 Maui Musts comes from 1 week experience for the first time in Maui,
Hawaii.

We stayed in Lahaina and much of what we saw was 5 minutes walking distance from our airbnb.

Top 8 Maui Musts - FOOD + DRINK:

  • Papa Aina Maui - the best breakfast hands down! Fresh food and affordable. Which is not usually the case on Front Street (a prime tourist attraction) Make a reservation instead of waiting in line
  • Drift Coffee / Maui's Best - Once we discovered this place, it quickly became a daily visit. My fave order "Lilikoi glaze donut and iced vanilla lavender latte with oatmilk"
  • Monkey Pod Kitchen - Such lively environment! Watch what happens when your dining guests start clapping. Happy hour drinks and appetizers. The drinks are delicious and strong. I ordered the Ahi Tuna steak which was good but the mushroom pizza and wings are where its at. Also need a reservation here. The lines are crazy
  • Dole Whip - Rated the best frozen treat in Maui. You must try it. Worth waiting in line for.

Top 8 Maui Musts - Sights:

  • Garden of Eden - On your way through the road to Hana, stop in for a little picnic. You must visit this beautiful garden and its spectacular views! This botanical garden makes your feel so small compared to the biblical proportion of its plant life. Minis can feed the ducks and peacocks.

  • Twin Falls Waterfall - Caution, the road to Hana gets a bit congested in this area because theres not much parking and therefore cars are parked all over the place. If you're lucky to find a spot, Twin Falls is the place to be. Bring a swimsuit.

  • Front Street Maui - We bought most of our souvenirs here; like my gorgeous new sun hat and hubby's graphic tees. Nyaeli and I got henna tattoos. Understand that henna needs 30 minutes to dry otherwise it will smear and cure that way. Speaking from experience, Nyaeli's Spongebob looked more like Sponge-blob.
  • Maui Ocean Center - Voted the worlds Top 10 Aquariums. It's worth checking out. "Keiki" Hawaiian word for mini are given a passport and asked to find hidden artifacts throughout the aquarium. The 15 minute 3-D whale presentation was amazing and the soundtrack lulled me into a much needed nap.
